Since its founding 35 years ago, the Orpheum Foundation has established itself as a key supporter of young soloists in classical music. Through a combination of outstanding concerts and targeted support, we offer these artists their first chance to shine on the international stage. Thanks to our new partnership with Bank of America, the Foundation now gains an international sponsor who supports both talent development and local engagement in Switzerland.
In 2025 Bank of America became the Presenting Partner of the Orpheum. As a global financial institution active in over 35 countries, Bank of America strengthens its Swiss presence through this partnership while supporting the long-term development of young musicians. The partnership between Bank of America and the Orpheum Foundation highlights their shared vision of fostering young talent.
Thorsten Pauli, Country Executive for Switzerland at Bank of America, highlights the importance of this partnership:
“Bank of America has a longstanding commitment to the arts, working with hundreds of institutions across the globe, from partnering and providing funding to developing education programmes. Our new partnership with the Orpheum Foundation represents our first move into supporting the performing arts in Switzerland. Through our partnership with the Foundation, we give young talent the chance to perform on prestigious stages alongside leading orchestras like the Konzerthausorchester Berlin and the Tonhalle-Orchester Zurich.”
“We’re committed to supporting young classical musicians and fostering international exchange. The guidance the Foundation provides young musical talent is hugely important and we look forward to supporting the next generation of musicians to learn, develop and achieve their full potential.”
“We don’t just want to act as a global company; we also aim to establish strong local roots and give back to the community through our support of the arts.”

Andrea Sullivan, International Executive, Head of Social and Environment Group at Bank of America adds: “Investing in the arts has a positive impact on society, contributing to a vibrant, thriving economy, creating jobs, attracting tourism and generating revenue for cultural institutions that often act as the cornerstone of their communities”.
“The cultural sector also helps build communities, bringing people together through shared experiences, and promoting mutual understanding, dialogue and debate”.
“At an individual level, participation in the arts supports the development of critical thinking, problem-solving and communication skills that are essential for success in the modern world. Countless studies have also pointed to the positive effects of engagement with the arts on wellbeing, confidence and creative self-expression. All these things are worth supporting and investing in. Through our programme of arts support, we seek to help the sector to thrive, and help democratise the arts, ensuring we widen access globally. We are so excited for the new Orpheum Foundation partnership and the impact it will have”.
